About this car
This 1953 Chevy 3600 features a rebuilt 283 V8 backed by a 4 speed floor shifted manual transmission. Exterior is finished in a classy Crimson with a nice accent of brown interior bench seat. The bed of the truck and interior door panels have been stained and refinished. Lots of new parts and mechanical work recently completed. Chrome work shows well and engine runs strong.
We purchased this Chevy 3600 several years ago as an older restoration that had just been sitting in the barn. The truck was pretty to look at but needed a lot of love mechanically. The truck came to us with a 283 V8 in dire need of a rebuild and a 4 speed floor shift manual transmission with a Eaton HO72 rear end.

We removed the 283 engine and had it rebuilt by Bo’s Machine Shop of Augusta. Then started working on the rest of the mechanical and interior. The truck paint and body is how we received it. Check the pictures for a cost breakdown of the parts we purchased. Here is a list of the work we performed:
