Shown here is a Defender 90 Station Wagon which is the last model year for the high sought after 300TDI engine. The Defender was sourced out La Crau, France from a Monsieur Velez. This Defender came from the dry French southern climate of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region which is evident upon inspection. The previous owner kept it on their rural property for hunting. When we purchased it the rear cargo load space area was set up with dog boxes. Hence the reason the cargo area is well preserved from being covered most of its life. Originally sold new in August of 1998 in France. This Defender has stayed well preserved over the years due to the dry southern French climate in the same area regionally as Spain and Italy.
This 1998 Land Rover Defender 90 300TDI is shown with a White exterior featuring silver chequere plate top and black accents. The interior is finished in a combination of black and grey. The aftermarket Blaupunkt tape player is not functional and can be replaced at the buyer’s request. A set of 235/85R16 Cooper Discoverer STT tires wrap around 5-Spoke 16" Land Rover OEM Alloy Wheels. The 235/85R16 is the best all-around tire for the Defender.
The 300TDI diesel engine runs properly and 5-Speed manual transmission shifts correctly through the gears. We completed a complete review of the Defender and all systems were found to be functional. Contact us for a complete run down of the mechanics. Here at Car Cave, we regularly drive our inventory and clock an average several hundred test miles on each Defender. I trusted this Defender to be used by my wife as a daily driver for a few days earlier this week. Well sorted mechanically and has been taken care of by the previous owner.
