This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Turbo was manufactured in April of 1984 and delivered to Kundendienst Mercedes Benz on May 17, 1984 located at Heerstraße 66, 60488 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. A Mercedes Benz dealer is still operating in the same location to this day! The vehicle was special ordered by a US Military member, Mr Mertz, for his wife to use as a daily driver. A factory delivered NATO Sales US Version package which is visually identifiable by has a MPH speedometer/odometer and emergency triangles in the truck. The Mertz family always had this special 300CD always serviced by the dealer with records showing the selling dealer performing services until 1993. Mercedes Benz of Augusta, GA regularly serviced this car after being imported to the US by Mr Mertz. Service records from MB of Augusta are available for inspection dating back to 1997.
Mr Mertz’s wife finally parted ways with this gem in late 2021 to local enthusiast and resident Mercedes Benz expert Judah Londo. Judah kept up on regularly servicing this coupe with lots of recent maintenance. Recent maintenance includes battery, AC compressor, AC dryer, expansion valve, belts, control arms, brakes, turbo down tube, inner driver tie rod, outer driver tie rod, outer center tie rod, inner center tie rod, water pump, reseal oil pan, and alignment.
