With a clean Car Fax, excellent service history, and clean California title, we know this Defender won't stay with us for long. The Defender is an excellent low mileage original with some tasteful upgrades.

This Defender shows extremely well and has been well-kept through out its entire life. We were impressed with the original paint, straight body, and low mileage (driven only approximately 1,300 miles per year!). Finished in the original Monza Red, contrasting white roof, gray patterned cloth interior, and factory alloy wheels. Car Cave purchased this Defender and took it on a road trip through Tahoe National Forest. A complete mechanical review was completed once it arrived at our shop in Aiken, SC. Please contact us to review the maintenance and history file with recent work totaling $30,000. This Defender is ready to enjoy on- and off-road adventures.

The 4.0L V8 engine runs smoothly with a recent head gasket job completed as preventative maintenance. A 4 speed automatic shifts properly through the gears backed by the LT230 full-time four wheel drive dual range transfer box with locking center diff. The ZF4 is an excellent transmission that is well built and known to be reliable in all environments.

Recent Maintenance

Installed 3° front radius rod arm set, adjustable panhard rod, castor kit, sway bar links, and bushings.

Fitted Terrafirma coil springs (front and rear), shock towers, trailing arms, cranked rear trailing arms, spring spacers, and extended brake line kit for a suspension lift.

Replaced steering damper, sway bar brackets, sway bar bushings, and drop blocks.

Installed drive shaft spacer and custom double cardan driveshaft.

Installed rear pinion seal, serviced differential fluids, and resealed front differential swivel joints.

Replaced rear brake hoses; brake fluid flush & bleed system.

Full engine reseal: replaced head gaskets, timing chain, timing cover seals, rear main seal, oil cooler lines, water pump gasket, thermostat, radiator hoses, heater hoses, breather hoses, and related gaskets/seals.

Installed new power steering hoses and A/C refrigerant service with leak check/dye test.

Installed Magnaflow cat-back exhaust.

Alternator replaced

Installed LED headlamps, marker lights, and LED lamp kit.

Replaced connectors and wiring as needed.

Diagnosed trailer lights, brake light issue, and fitted new brake lines to axle.

Installed rear speakers

Installed new OEM black front bumper with stainless steel bolt kit.

Cleaned and refinished grill and headlight bezels.

Replaced washer reservoir cap, overflow hose, bonnet buffer, and hood vibration damper.

Installed chequer plate sill pair, wing protectors, rear cargo mat, rubber mat set.

Replaced transfer box gaiter.

Dash trim replaced.

Two new keys cut.

Oil and filter changes (engine and differential).

Replaced fuel filter, spark plugs, and plug wire set.

Engine air filter replaced.

Coolant flush and antifreeze replaced.

Degreasing, fluids, and grease service.
