The quality of this concourse-level restoration, completed by KTL Restorations of Danville, VA, is beyond compare. A true one-of-one, this vehicle was the only example produced with a power convertible top with glass rear window, in the original competition blue (Ford color code M3657A) with a black pinstripe, black leather seats, transmission, and engine configuration. Well-documented and widely discussed, this limited edition XR-7 is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

A configuration so rare it was thought to be a myth, only 66 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7s were upgraded with the 428 Cobra Jet engine, and only 17 of those were produced with a 4-speed manual transmission. Roll down windows, manually adjustable seats, and a built-in lighter creates the nostalgia of the vehicle - but no detail is faded, and every metal gleams. The center console opens sideways, and an analogue clock has been built directly into the dashboard. A full complement of gauges gives the driver a perfect sense of what is happening in the vehicle - featuring oil, temperature, amps, fuel gauges and a tachometer. A vintage radio features in the vehicle, as well as heating.
