At the heart of this Jolly is a fully built 850cc air-cooled two-cylinder engine. Constructed with high-performance and race parts, this engine, paired with a race derived 5-speed manual gearbox built by D'Angelo in Italy. It makes for a thrilling and techtile driving experience. Despite its compact size, the engine is a torque monster, evidenced by the vehicle’s characteristic shake at idle. With hi/low headlight beams and wipers, this Jolly can be enjoyed in any condition you dare take it. The front frunk features ample storage space, while also housing a fuel tank, spare tire, and jack, while the rear compartment solely for the engine under a wicker picnic basket.

One glance at the Fiat Jolly reveals its true purpose: sheer enjoyment. Few cars evoke the spirit of summer beach fun like Fiat’s iconic Jolly. In its heyday, the Italian coachbuilder Ghia transformed the diminutive Fiat 500 two-door into the ultimate beach companion by removing its roof, adding a fringed canvas top, and installing quirky wicker seats. Marketed towards playboys, princesses, presidents, and powerbrokers, the Jolly became synonymous with coastal glamor.

Legend has it that Ghia’s designer, Gigi Segre, envisioned the Jolly while on a beach holiday. He noticed that the island taxis didn’t quite fit the Capri scene and began sketching ideas that would better suit beach locales. Ghia used the Fiat Cinquecento platform, removed the roof and doors, created "step-over" sills for easy access, and added a fabric surrey top for sun protection. The wicker seats were perfect for beachgoers, resisting wet bathing suits and occasional rain.

Only 650 Jollys were ever made, with fewer than 100 original models believed to still exist. When one appears at auction, it can fetch over $150,000. Our Jollys have been painstakingly converted by our Italian restorer, who strips down an antique Fiat Cinquecento and meticulously rebuilds it into a high-quality replica of the original Ghia Jolly. The iconic wicker elements, a defining feature of the original Jolly, have been faithfully recreated. This particular Jolly, finished in period-correct Mint Green, features brand-new wicker seats and a rear-mounted picnic box.

From a mechanical perspective, the Jolly boasts an upgraded 850cc two-cylinder engine producing way more horsepower than stock!

It can achieve a top speed well into the 80s and accelerates from 0-60 mph faster than you'd expect!

This 1973 Jolly, built on a 600 donor platform, is a fine specimen with glossy, attractive paint and excellent coachwork. The brightwork, including the bumpers and chrome cockpit rails, shines brightly, and the color-coordinated period-correct steel wheels with dog-dish hubcaps give the car an authentic look.

One of the most endearing features of the Jolly is its distinct wicker interior, brand new in this car. A set of padded matching front seat covers is included, and seat belts are optional (though a waiver is required to purchase the Jolly without them). The minimalist instrument cluster features just a speedometer and a few warning lights. This vehicle attracts attention wherever it goes and promises one of the most enjoyable and fun driving experiences imaginable.
