Offered for sale is a 1977 Ford F250 Hi-Boy Crew Cab factory built with a V8, 4 speed manual, and 4-wheel drive. These trucks are getting harder and harder to find. The configuration shown is the most sought-after configuration with several transacting well above the $100k mark.

The Marti report is included in the pictures. We believe this truck to be a Forestry Service vehicle as evidenced on the Marti report as a special paint unknown. The original Ford sticker is on the door driver’s jamb and still shows a slight bit of the all too familiar Foresty Service green underneath. The truck has since been repainted several owners ago in white.

The truck started life somewhere in the vicinity of Salt Lake City, Utah as a government foresty service truck. Most government vehicles stay in service for their depreciation schedule of 25-30 years. After the foresty service the truck ended up in Wyoming, repainted white, and listed for sale on Craigslist. Saddleback Ranch in Steamboat Springs, CO purchased the truck for use on the farm. Saddleback Ranch sold it to one of our customers who owned a neighboring ranch in Steamboat Springs.

The truck stayed stored in his airplane hangar until we brought it down here from Colorado to do some maintenance a few years back. We recored the radiator and cleaned out the fuel system at that time. He planned on driving it around the Charleston area and kept it stored indoors when not on the road. The truck has spent the last few years in South Carolina and always kept indoors.

We just completed an entire round of maintenance to make sure this truck is ready for action. A new battery was installed and grounding strap, carburetor rebuild, fuel filter, oil change, spark plugs, ignition coil, ignition module, and transmission flush with Amsoil fluid. We replaced some rear brake lines, rear wheel cylinder, brake hoses, adjusted the rear drums, bleed the brake system, and replaced an axle seal. The front end was rebuilt including driver inner tie rod, passenger inner tie rod, adjuster sleeve, and alignment. Electrically we replaced all of the top cab lights with new gaskets and shrink tubed the wiring, headlights, high beam switch, and installed a new horn.
