Rectangular headlights and unique wiper blade placement on the windshield are just a few of the changes brought to the YJ over its evolutionary predecessor, the CJ. The larger windshield, a notable improvement from the CJ, necessitated the distinctive wiper blade placement due to the wider arc needed to clean it. The YJ retained the leaf spring suspension but with wider springs, and introduced track-bar suspension links and anti-roll bars for improved handling and safety.
Powered by a carbureted Inline 6 engine, it delivers similar horsepower ratings but with significantly more torque than the 4 bagger also offered. The vehicle comes standard with high-back vinyl bucket seats, a heater and blower, and an AM/FM stereo with two speakers. This Jeep also has the optional rear seat and a hardtop giving you an even more versatile vehicle.
