Presented here is an extremely special GCC (Gulf Corporation Council from the Middle East) spec Land Cruiser with loads of unique options. The Toyota also has low miles, with less than 2900 miles driven per a year. A great spec Land Cruiser looking for a new home. This is a great unmolested example which would be a spectacular daily driver or a blank canvas for an epic build! The undercarriage and body is dry and rust free due to living its entire life in the desert. The most recent comparable sale in 2025 of a similar model sold for $34,385 with 183k miles. So ours is priced great!

Not really sure where to start because there are sooooo many cool features not found on the 80 series sold here in the US! The GCC refers to vehicles that are manufactured to meet the regulations of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which includes the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar. The GCC options include a carbureted 1FZ-F, 5 speed manual transmission, part time 4wd, rear cargo area A/C, manual front seats (no more 80 series power seat motors to fix!), cloth upholstery, gold emblem, slick roof (no roof rack), sub (secondary) fuel tank, rear tire carrier, and a fridge in the center console.

The Land Cruiser is powered by a carbureted 1FZ-F (not to be confused with the fuel injected FE version) 24-valve, 4.5 L (4,477 cc) DOHC straight-6 gasoline engine with 188 HP and 268 foot-pound of torque. A factory H151F 5 speed manual transmission and a hi/low range transfer case that features part time 4wd. In contrast all of the US spec 80 series had an automatic transmission and full time four wheel drive. The axle code shows a K292 which translates to a 9.5” 4:100:1 differentials putting traction to the ground.

The exterior of this Land Cruiser is finished in the factory original Medium Red Pearl (Toyota Color Code 3H4). Visually from the front you will see a grill hood ornament but also notice the “slick roof” which does not have a factory roof rack or moonroof. The rear can be identified as GCC by the rear tire carrier, cargo area HVAC duct work (seen through the windows), and pintle hitch. The rear mounted spare tire allows for a factory Sub Fuel tank (secondary fuel tank) mounted between the frame rails and behind the rear axle. Yes, you read that correctly… this Land Cruiser was built with two fuel tanks from the factory! There is still one filter neck with a pull to switch filling each tank.

On the interior there are several GCC features. The upholstery is a combination of oak cloth with a patterned insert with brown carpets. The front seats are manually adjusted, an added bonus for any 80 series owner who has suffered through replacing the power seat gears. The dash is simplified due to the lack of factory airbags and some changes in features. An overhead altimeter and sub fuel gauge can be found above the manual transmission shifter. A special ordered Fridge Center Console (Toyota part 445410-0060) capable of keeping beverages cold or apparently making ice cubes is found between the front seats. We did not test its ice making ability yet (but happy hour is coming soon). In the cargo area of the vehicle your passengers can ride in comfort with flip down jump seats for a total of 3 people (total vehicle seating capacity of 8) and a rear air conditioner. Please note: the rear cargo seating does not have seat belts as it was built this way from the factory.

Overall, the 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80 with GCC spec 5 speed manual, part-time 4WD, slick roof, center fridge console, and rear cargo AC is a special and unique vehicle. With low miles, it is a rare find that is sure to provide reliable and capable transportation for years to come. Recent maintenance includes rebuilding the front axle swivels, tie rods, sway bar bushings, front brake pads and rotors, bleeding the brake system, clean and adjust rear brakes, replace brake lines, left front brake caliper, rear brake drum kit, fuel filter, oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, vacuum lines, PCV Valve, clutch line, flushing the clutch hydraulics, spark plug wires, tune and adjust carb, distributor cap, rotor button, battery, door latches, and lube all locks and window tracks. We did not want to replace the shocks due to the high probability the next owner will be making their own modifications! Why not put that money towards good use and a new lift?
